Also, Pacquiao gave 50,000 pesos to Training of the Year awardee Buboy Fernandez to support his medical needs. Pacquiao also pledged to help young boxers through MP promotions. He would try to help them fight abroad.
Pacquiao concluded the night with a heartwarming speech dedicated to Filipinos. He expressed that in every game he fight, he will give honor to the country, and that he also admire the efforts of other Filipino boxers who continuously gain respect from other countries.
The Elorde Memorial Boxing Awards Night and Banquet of Champions is an annual event dedicated to give honor, awards, and recognitions to Filipino Boxers.
